Gwyneth Paltrow Singing "Coming Home" From Country Strong

Last night, Aaron and I watched the movie, Country Song, with Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw. The movie was good, the ending was sad, but the ending song..... sigh.... AMAZING!! It is still playing in my head this morning, so I wanted to share. Definitely worth the watch!!

Feild Trips and Garage Sale

I hope your (i)NSD celebration was a fun one! I didn't get to participate in the celebration this year... I was busy traveling and running. But of course, I did make sure I scored some deals. HAHA!!

Yesterday the first of many spring field trips begun. I just LOVE this time of year. Just because I'm able to participate and chaperon the kids on their field trips. It just gives more of a view of how they interact with their friends and classmates, and is just so neat to spend more time with them. Sophie's class went on a hike, did some nature things, then we went to the local zoo where they each gave a speech on their chosen Minnesota native animal. It was pretty fun.... well, except for the 90degree weather we got. How can the the weather can change from 35degree one day, to 90 degrees the next.

The first of many spring field trips begin. I LOVE to be able to go and chaporane my kids field trips. It always gives me a view of how they interact with their friends and classmates, and is just so neat to spend more time with them. Sophie's class went on a hike, did some nature things, then we went to the local zoo where they each gave a speech on their chosen Minnesota native animal. It was pretty fun.... well, except for the 90degree weather we got. It's funny that the weather can change from 35degree one day, to 90 degrees the next.

THEN..... my adventure this week will be holding.... a GARAGE SALE!
We have simply run out of storage in our basement for holding "stuff". Yep, stack of old clothes and toys, old furniture, etc is literally half way up to the ceiling. So it's time to get rid of all the older baby clothes and toys. I am a little nervous about how much work this is going to be though. But mostly excited to have all of this extra stuff OUT of my house. If you have done a garage sale in the past or have ANY advice... I'd sure appreciate advice.

Anyhoo, that's me in a nutshell.

Another Year Scrapbook Completed & Printed

I love when it's finally time for printing!! WOOHOO!! Isn't that the best feeling? Yep, I completed another entire years' worth of layouts... so that means getting some of those layouts off of my hard drive and into a completed! And I just did it!!

I use MyPicTales for my printing and have always had really great and beautiful results . I print into bound coffee table books that are 10x10", becuase they are not to big, and not too little... it's just the right size for reading and admiring! Also, also I love getting them printed into a bound book version becuase they look so beautiful to store and when you flip through them! Usually I can fit the year in two (2) bound books, but 2008 took three (3) books to fit it all in.

I store them in our media center in the living room. They fit and look beautifully to look at everyday.

Here is a close up of one of the covers. I usually have a similar cover design for each book, I just change the year and volume of the book. I guess, I just do this because I like a unified look to the books.

Again, the cover or title page is usually very much the same from book to book. I just change out the year and photos from that time period.

(please don't mind the poor quality of the photos. I was in a hurry today and probably should've gotten a tripod out to take these versus trying to open the book and shooting fast before it closed.) HAHA!

I love to mix traditionally scrapped page in with a full size or large photo on the other side. It really gives a good variety when looking through the book,

here is the digital version. It may not look like it in the photograph... but in real life looking at the digital version and the printed version, it is very much true to color.

At the end of each book I always end with the same quoted word art. "my most treasured moment"

Aren't they awesome!! It's so nice to look at physical books and not on the computer screen. I hope this inspires you to start printing off a few of your your own layouts!
